Pediatric allergy and immunology deals with allergic conditions and immune system disorders in children and young people under 18. Specialists complete six years of medical school, four years of pediatrics and three years of training in allergy and immunology. Common concerns include food allergies, eczema, allergic rhinitis, asthma and frequent infections that may point to an immune problem.

An accurate diagnosis helps prevent complications and improves daily life for the whole family. Evaluation usually combines a physical examination, a detailed history and targeted tests. In Turkey, families receive a clear action plan for managing symptoms at school, at home and while travelling.
